The CMMG MkW ANVIL T is a new platform combining the strength of the MUTANT mid-size platform and CMMG POWERBOLT technology, with the ballistic energy of the 458 SOCOM. The MkW features the CMMG mid-sized receivers based on CMMG Mk3 platform carved from billet 7075-T6 aluminum. The MkW was engineered to harness the full potential of the 458 SOCOM cartridge utilizing the POWERBOLT technology based on their Mk3. The unique MkW lower receiver readily accepts all standard AR15 magazines. Every MkW T rifle comes equipped with an SLR adjustable gas block to allow for tailoring the rifle to the round you choose to unleash, CMMG-modified LANCER L5-AWM magazine and CMMG’s lifetime quality guarantee!

About the 458 SOCOM: The 458 SOCOM cartridge offers the practical ballistics of the legendary .45-70 in a modern AR platform rifle and is capable of firing 250 to 600 grain .458 caliber bullets in a lightweight, controllable package. For hunting medium to large game, bullets around 300 grains possess devastating killing power going over 1,800 fps. Due to its industry standard 1-14 twist barrel this rifle is also capable of launching 500-600 grain bullets at subsonic velocities for suppressed or tactical use. Bullets are now easily available form many manufacturers.

NOTE: Although this gun is nominally a 10 rounder it ships with a modified 30rd 5.56 magazine and as such can still hold 30rds of 5.56 ammo. The magazine has been modified to function properly with 10rds of .458 SOCOM, but will physically hold 11rds if forced. Due to the many state restrictions on magazine capacity these rifles may not be sold to individuals in the following restricted states: Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Washington D.C., Chicago IL, Aurora IL, Oak Park IL and South Bend IN.
